CC CONCERT BALLET & SMG AMERICAN BANK CENTER PARTNER FOR EVENT
Employees of SMG American Bank Center and SAVOR, SMG’s in-house food & beverage provider at American Bank Center, will volunteer with the Corpus Christi Concert Ballet to plan a special evening for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House tonight, February 20, 2013 at 6:00pm. SMG and SAVOR employees will prepare a meal for the group of 40 and the ballet will perform scenes from their upcoming event Alice in Wonderland & Other Works.
“We previously participated in the Share a Meal program and really enjoyed the experience of preparing a meal together and meeting the families,” said SMG American Bank Center General Manager Jim Salamenta. “For our next visit we wanted to create an entire evening for these families to enjoy. The Corpus Christi Concert Ballet has been involved in community events with us before and with their performance on March 2nd we thought it would be a great opportunity for them to bring their show to this group. ”
The evening will begin with volunteers preparing the meal from 4:00pm- 5:45pm in the kitchen at the Ronald McDonald House. Dinner will be served at 6:00pm and the performance will begin at 6:15pm.
Mark Avelar, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House mentioned, “The families staying at our House always look forward to Share a Meal nights. It allows them to take a night off from preparing dinner and focus on spending time with their ill child. The added bonus is they get to experience a private performance from the CC Concert Ballet as well.”
