Event Details: STARS has announced that the 2007 Corpus Christi STARS Extravaganza will feature country music’s Top Male Entertainer of the Year, Toby Keith at American Bank Center Arena. The event is scheduled for Friday, September 28, 2007. Opening for Toby Keith is Top Female Entertainer, Miranda Lambert and rising new group, Flynnville Train.

Tickets for Toby Keith will be on sale for the public on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 10:00am the American Bank Center box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at (361) 881-8499. Tickets are also available for purchase at Macy’s and FYE at Padre Staples Mall, and H-E-B stores.

In 2006, STARS raised nearly 2.9 million dollars for South Texas students through the STARS Extravaganzas. The STARS Student Scholarship Fund depends on the support of corporate sponsors, foundations and individuals to achieve its goal of assisting promising South Texas students in attending the college or university of their choice.

STARS Extravaganzas are held in Corpus Christi, Laredo, and the Rio Grande Valley annually. Each year, top entertainers and speakers are featured, making this one of the premier events in South Texas. Previous speakers have included General Tommy Franks and Former President of Mexico Mr. Ernesto Zedillo. Featured entertainers have included Lonestar, Josh Gracin, Brooks & Dunn, Gretchen Wilson, Tim McGraw and many others.
