The Man In Black Tour, A Tribute to Johnny Cash is a national touring show produced by Brown Productions that takes the audience from the grass root days of Country and Rock-a-Billy to the polished MTV and VH1 hits that crossed all age barriers. Rising star Shawn Barker portrays Johnny Cash. Barker possesses an uncanny resemblance to Cash and truly captures the presence of the legendary performer, not only through his music but also in his storytelling. About Johnny Cash
Quite possibly, the most recognizable voice in all of country music belongs to “The Man in Black,” John R. Cash. His attempts into the fields of country, folk, rock and even gospel music, distinguish Cash as one of the most intriguing performers in all of twentieth century popular music. In addition to one of the most impressive musical careers of all time, Cash enjoyed success and garnered tremendous respect as an author, actor, and Biblical scholar. After losing his wife June Carter Cash unexpectedly in May 2003, Cash passed away Sept. 12, 2003, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. from complications from diabetes.
