HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS POISED FOR BANNER YEAR

Ambassadors of Goodwill prominent around the globe

(PHOENIX, January 2, 2007) - Early results indicate that the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters, celebrating their 81st consecutive season, are primed for an exceptional 2007, and one of the best years in team history.

The Harlem Globetrotters will be at the American Bank Center Arena February 11, 2007 at 2:00pm. Ticket prices range from $15.00 - $82.00 and are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased at the American Bank Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster Outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at (361) 881-8499.

On Tuesday, Dec. 26, the Globetrotters tipped off their 2007 "Nothing Like It" North American Tour, sponsored by Campbell Soup Company. Ticket sales for the tour are tracking well ahead of the same time last year, with paid tickets up 14.5 percent. Attendance figures during the tour's first week were highlighted by games in Pittsburgh (12,761), Cleveland (11,529), and Rockford, Ill. (5,426). Record ticket sales were reported in Columbus, Ohio, and at the Palace of Auburn Hills, where 12,780 tickets were sold, prompting a return engagement in February due to popular demand.

Looking ahead, ticket sales for games in San Jose (Jan. 12 and 13), Oakland (Jan. 13), San Francisco (Jan. 15), Phoenix (two games Jan. 20), Dallas (Feb. 2 and 3), Madison Square Garden (Feb. 16), East Rutherford, N.J. (Feb. 17 and 19), and Uniondale, N.Y. (two games Feb. 18) are all projecting ahead of sales at the same time last year.

"The team is riding a wave of growing box office popularity with recent holiday season promotions of the North American Tour," stated Globetrotters' President Shawn Bryant. "We look forward to continued success."

Spreading their message of goodwill, the Globetrotters completed a 21-day tour of the Middle East, which included visits to 12 different U.S. military bases in five different countries, including Iraq. The team played at military installations in Bahrain, Qatar, Djibouti, Africa, and a game aboard the U.S.S. Eisenhower, an active U.S. aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf. This marks the third consecutive year the Globetrotters have visited U.S. troops overseas in December during the holiday season, made possible by Navy Entertainment and Armed Forces Entertainment. These appearances and international travel garnered over 100 million media impressions worldwide, from the likes of "CNN Headline News," The Associated Press, Getty Images, and U.S News and World Report.

On Nov. 23, the Globetrotters participated in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, viewed by over 46 million people in person and on television. The team followed that up with appearances on the country's top-rated morning program, NBC-TV's "The Today Show," as well as Fox News Channel's "Your World with Neil Cavuto," and ESPN2's "Cold Pizza."

Since their inception in 1926, the Harlem Globetrotters have traveled to 118 nations and played before 124 million fans. In 2002, the organization was only the fifth team to be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
