As a proud supporter of the Corpus Christi Education Foundation, SMG American Bank Center will assist in presenting 25 grants to 22 CCISD schools this Friday, December 9, 2011. Employees will travel to different schools as part of a prize patrol that will surprise teachers who applied for the Grants for World Class Schools.

More than $43,000 in grants will be distributed today to teachers to use toward innovative extended learning programs. Part of the funding for the grants comes from the State of the District, which is hosted at American Bank Center; SMG American Bank Center is also a sponsor for the event. Other funding sources include partnerships with particular events held at American Bank Center such as the Broadway in Corpus Christi shows where a portion of the tickets sold go to CCEF.

“CCEF helps create so many opportunities for teachers, students and the Corpus Christi community.” said Eric Jaramillo, Director of Marketing for SMG American Bank Center and Board Member of the Corpus Christi Education Foundation. “It’s great for us to see what our support is helping accomplish in our schools.”
